Why a private tour?
At MOVE every tour is 100% private — just you, your companion and your local guide. Why does it matter? Because your experience never depends on anyone else's rush. On a group tour there's always someone with a flight, someone in a hurry and someone who wants to linger; some ride well and go fast, others prefer to take it slow and end up feeling pressured. Not here: you stop wherever you want, go at your own pace, and start whenever you want — if 10:45 a.m. works for you, we leave at 10:45 a.m. You get a closer conversation with your guide, ask anything you like, request all the photos and videos you want, and if something catches your eye, we make the detour. It's your day and your city, your way.
Why an e-bike and not a vehicle?
Seeing Medellín by bike is nothing like doing it by bus, car or "chiva". Because you're riding, all your senses are on the city — not distracted by air conditioning, music or someone else's conversation. There's no traffic: the bike reaches parks and corners a vehicle can't, you don't waste time looking for parking or walking from a drop-off point, and the whole route flows. Best of all, our bikes are motorcycle-style, 100% electric and assisted, so you enjoy all of this with zero physical effort.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to know how to ride a bike?
You don't need to be fit — the bike is motorcycle-style, electric and assisted, so there's no effort — but you do need a sense of balance. If you've ever ridden a bike in your life, you're ready. Without balance, the ride gets difficult.
Can we stop at places that aren't on the route?
Yes. We have a thoughtfully planned route, but it's not rigid. If you spot a shop, a corner or anything you like, we stop. It's your tour.
Is it safe?
Yes. Around 95% of the route runs on bike lanes, with very little interaction with vehicles — Medellín has an excellent cycling network — and local paisa culture deeply respects cyclists and gives way. Plus, you're always with a local guide.
How is this different from a tour by car, bus or "chiva"?
A lot. On a bike you're focused, with all your senses on the experience; no traffic, you enter parks and places a vehicle can't reach, you don't lose time parking, and everything flows. In a vehicle you get distracted (music, A/C, chatter… you might even doze off) and waste time between stops.
Do the tours include food?
Yes, all of them except the Express Tour. The meal is at a gourmet restaurant in the Conquistadores neighborhood, with an interactive menu (you choose starter, protein and side), vegan option available, designed for travelers from anywhere in the world. It has Colombian flavor but it's familiar, easy-to-love food — nothing strange or heavy — so you don't waste time wondering where to eat.
Can I do a different route if I've already toured with you?
Yes. Many travelers come back, so we design safe local routes with lesser-known spots: Ciudad del Río, Parque de los Deseos, the Museum of Memory, the MAMM modern art museum, Perpetuo Socorro, local markets and the tram, among others. Every time, a different Medellín.
